DESCRIPTION:Morning Ragas by the Pond\nFeaturing Wyetta Bontempo On Surshringar\nSunday June 8\, 2025 10:00 AM 2615 NE Community LnBend\, Oregon\nYou are cordially invited to join the Society for Historic and Rare Instruments of India (SHRII) for morning ragas by the pond presented by Wyetta Bontempo. Wyetta will offer traditional morning Hindustani (North Indian) Classical Music on a very rare instrument called the Surshringar. Trained in Dhrupad instrumental music\, she is one of only a handful of musicians in the world that plays this instrument. \nParticipants are encouraged to think of this as part meditation\, part ceremony\, and part concert. Please bring a pillow\, yoga mat or blanket to sit or lay upon. Chairs will be provided for participants that require them. \nNote that parking is very limited\, so please carpool and park on Daggett Ln or Jackson Ave. The concert is offered by donation. \nWe look forward to seeing you.
